[ Oh Primus. Tonight. Tonight! He had to get ready, he had to get his paint fixed and- He was going to have to ask Knock Out for help. Or Needlenose. Or both. And find that spider plushie! ]

Th-that'll be perfect, thank you! I'll see you there?

[with a noise of confirmation, the comm is cut... and then cut another four times as the other components listening also back out of the call. it's an odd little cascade of dead dial tones, like a couple of them don't actually want to hang up and want to say something else.

he has to literally get himself together, though, and get cleaned up and ready for a date. his first ever date. oh god. he also needs to squeak and chatter to himself in his weird little personal language to try and clear his fears that ramp up and down about being seen with an autobot, but-- megatron isn't around, the ones present on the ship don't care about other decepticons and he likes tracks. he really likes tracks, much to his own surprise.

staring at himself in a reflective piece of metal, chop shop cannot decide which of his cool sunglasses to wear, so he wears both of them; one over each set of optics. maybe they'll also stop any loyalists recognising him.

he waits at mac's in a booth with a martini glass full of a few too many cyberolives. maximum class.]

[ Tracks arrives, right on time. His paint has been touched up in places where wear was even thinking of starting to exist, and he gleams in the low light, his beautiful dark blues and all the accents all vibrant and brilliant. Thank you Knock Out, for that exceedingly expensive wax job.

In one hand, he still has the blue, spider-like plushie he and Needlenose won at Mirzam- And it too has been given a gentle wash so it's looking its best. Somehow Tracks even found a tiny bow-tie for it.

Tracks' nerves still aren't completely soothed, but... The talk with his not-brother helped. It helped a lot. Of course Chop Shop likes him as is, of course coming as he has will be fine. So he vents in deeply, steeling himself, and walks over to Chop Shop. He flashes him a brilliant smile, and hopes if he just pretends he's confident it'll actually prove real in the end. ]

Chop Shop! I hope you weren't waiting long?

[he smiles at tracks, genuinely, which is a lot different from the smug smirk he usually puts on. those airs he carries, because he's too afraid to pretend to be otherwise. it lasts a little longer than necessary, as he usually forgets that track looks like that.

ugh. very handsome.

his bottom set of optics travel to the spider plushie, though he doesn't comment on it just yet.]

Nah, we just got 'ere. Lefty's even calmed himself down. [his left hand twitches, like the component is overpowering the hivemind they operate as while combined to yell at him.] Trust you've been alright, mate?

[ That smile alone gets Tracks to relax; some of the tension in how he was holding his wings, only noticeable if you really knew the mech, bleeds right out. The sincerity of it... It makes his spark feel like it's going to vibrate out of his chest with giddiness.

The next smile he gives Chop Shop is nothing short of blinding. ]

Oh, certainly. I think I've finally settled in- Or, at least I feel like it. [ He chuckles. ] And you? You've been well?

Still workin' on that. We're from that world with the spiky Megatron, so you understand.

[but megatron isn't here, and chop shop knows none of the other decepticons of that world care about his existence. he was lower than a grunt to them, so they won't notice him doing things like this. maybe they won't notice him eventually defecting, too.]


We usually have a few more projects goin' on, but we ain't been doin' much. Keepin' our heads down and stayin' together, you know? Makin' energon pizza. Makin' a lot of energon nonsense, actually. S'weirdly fun.

[ He thinks of Knock Out, this ship's Knock Out, cornered and angry because he thought Svelte's had defected. Because he was boxed in on all sides by his own command. ]

I understand.

I admit, I haven't been up to much. I keep busy, but I'm not... Well, I've never been good at hobbies. I make myself look my best and I go cruising. But though I've been flying, it's a little hard to cruise on a ship!

Oh-! Before I forget...

[ Almost shyly, the plushie spider is set on the table and gently slid towards Chop Shop. ]

[he hasn't yet spoken to knock out -- avoiding the fact he knew the guy in svelte. chop shop has decided that he does, at least, know how to approach the guy. call him chief medical officer, bat for him if needs be. some of it was genuine, but most was fake, as he would as a good little decepticon. decepticons.

--but that's hardly a topic for a date. he takes the plushie with a delighted expression, one that reaches all four of his optics.]

Oh...! [he's never had a gift before. none of them had. forgetting tracks is there for a moment, he hugs the plush to his chest with a delighted expression. his now.]

[ Tracks laughs, and it's coloured a little with relief. ] Well, I'm glad you like it. I won it on Mirzam, and it's just been sitting around as I tried to find the right moment to give it to you.

I suppose a first date is the best occasion I'll ever get.

Didn't get out at Mirzam-- liked having the empty ship. [he rests his chin on his fist, free arm still around the plush.] We love it. Full stars from all of us.
