CHARACTER INFORMATION
CHARACTER NAME: Tracks
CANON: Transformers G1
TIMELINE: post S2, but prior to the movie
AGE: Counting the 4 million years he spent in stasis on the Ark, maybe about 6 million?
REFERENCE: Tracks @ TFWiki
PERSONALITY: Tracks is a very vain individual. He keeps his chassis shined and paint unscratched when he can help it despite his role as a warrior, and has a tendency of boasting about it, or complaining first and then acting when his finish is damaged on the battlefield. Curiously enough, he also prefers his alternate mode to his root mode ("I'd rather stay in my stunning auto mode-"), though he knows he looks good either way. Combine this with his very snooty-sounding voice, and you'd be forgiven for thinking he's got a stuffy, aloof personality.
Despite his vanity, Tracks doesn't let it keep him from doing his job; he may be temporarily outraged and distracted by a scuff to his paint but - unlike what some may think - he won't hesitate to enter a fight with a Decepticon just because of possible damage. In fact, he's been known to take initiative on his own, tracking and taking out Decepticons without even thinking of radioing for back-up (as in both Make Tracks and Auto-Bop), simply because he was the only mech around to help. He knows his capabilities as a warrior fairly well; while he can occasionally bite off more than he can chew, he is more than capable enough to stand up to mechs like Starscream on his own.
Tracks may be vain, but he also is incredibly fond of humans and their culture, to the point of finding the company of other Autobots 'stuffy' ("At least humans aren't boring!"); they have a tendency of calling him a 'lousy Earth lover', and in return Tracks is a loner among his own kind more often than not. Despite this, Tracks is a surprisingly friendly individual. He easily gets along with humans and is happy to interact with them on their own terms, whether that be hitting the night clubs or helping them out with a street dancing gig. Part and parcel with this is what parts of human culture Tracks finds most enjoyable; unlike what one might expect, he enjoys the less 'reputable', such as rock and roll, hip hop, and similar, and counts among his friends a number of people who come from the lower rungs of human society, such as his best friend Raoul. Among the Autobots, his friends tend to be those who also appreciate humanity, such as Blaster.
ABILITIES: As a Cybertronian, Tracks has the endurance, speed, and strength you'd expect from a mech of his size, and is a warrior with thousands upon thousands of years of experience to boot. He can fire most weaponry that he can get his hands on, and is quite proficient in hand to hand combat as well, though he dislikes it. In addition, as a Cybertronian Tracks also has the following abilities:
Transformation: Tracks has an 'alternate mode' which appears to be a Chevrolet Corvette (C3) - in particular the 1980-82 release - which he can shift into. This alternate mode also allows him flight, due to a pair of wings he can extend and engines capable of achieving speeds of 280 mph.
Weaponry: Tracks has a pair of launchers built into his frame - mounted sort of from his shoulders - which can fire heat-seeking missiles.
Subspace: A little extra-dimensional pocket where Cybertronians can store their things, like weaponry; it's also where mass can be shunted in transformation.
PERSONAL EFFECTS: Tracks always carries his black beam gun in his subspace (a handheld laser rifle that can fire either a standard laser or a black, blinding gas), a small energon cube just in case, and a small jar of car polish.
PRIZED POSSESSION: A small photo in a protective frame, usually kept in his quarters on the Ark: it's of him, Blaster, Raoul, and his friends, all grinning for the camera.
